water storage tanks are categorized on several basis. These categories and types of water tanks is not fixed rather all the water tank types are very flexible and they usually change or even disappear as we move along the geographical areas. Among them, the three most common and widely used types of water storage tanks include:
- Underground tanks
- Indoor water tanks
- Outdoor water tanks
We will discuss them one by one in detail.
Starting off with underground tanks, which are installed under the ground, and let me tell you among these three underground water tanks are least famous. This is because underground water tanks are hard to maintain, are expensive and are very large in size. Additionally, when you install an underground tank in your home or office, you cannot carry it with you to a new place whenever you have to move to another place. And this actually adds to the cost of installing or buying a new tank at the new place. Primarily, underground rainwater tanks are used by farmers for storing and reusing rain water for irrigation.
Indoor water tanks are the ones installed inside the home. They are small in size and are preferred mostly by homeowners and small businesses that do not want to store lots of water. Indoor water tanks do not occupy lots of space and this is the reason that they are slim but tall.
Outdoor water tanks are the ones installed outside the place. They are kept outdoors and most of the outdoor water tanks are rainwater tanks.
